The mondokiddo website is a closed platform, only accessible by subscription. Only parents or teachers with parental consent, can register the children. Moreover, there is no advertising on the site. The parents/teachers accounts allow them to visualise all of the children's activites on the different parts of the site, to suppress non-wanted contacts, to notify abuses to mondokiddo. mondokiddo SAS is committed to protecting the privacy of children, parents, and educators, while providing them with a fun and cultural website. This privacy policy addresses the online privacy practices of mondokiddo.

mondokiddo offers the following services, by subscription only:

Exchange: my first e-mail account, including Chat and Wall options.

Twinning: a powerful search engine to find e-friends

Games: cultural games on cooking, monuments, music, sport and a travel book.

The privacy policy is divided into two sections - the first addressing information collected from users who are under 12 years of age; the second addressing information collected from all other users. While many of mondokiddo's services are intended for children, these services also include significant involvement by parents, teachers, and other adults as well. This policy is applicable to all mondokiddo services.

PRIVACY NOTICE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 12

It is mondokiddo's policy to limit the collection of personal information from children to only that which is necessary to obtain parental consent or to participate in a mondokiddo program or activity after we have obtained parental consent. Children under 12 years old are not allowed to subscribe or create an account. Only a parent, guardian, or teacher can register the children on the site.

Parental Consent: we require a parent or guardian to consent before a child under the age of 12 can become a member of mondokiddo or to use any of mondokiddo services. As for it, during the registration process, we collect only enough personal information (i.e., parent's name and email address) necessary to obtain a parent's permission for his/her child to become a member of mondokiddo.

We will seek consent from parents for their children to use mondokiddo services through use of a credit card verification during the registration process.

Parents/teachers will be asked to read the Terms and Conditions and accept them by ticking a box during the registration process.

Once registered, children don't have the right to upload personal pictures. Instead of showing their face, they can create an « avatar » (inspired by the « kiddos » characters).

PRIVACY NOTICE FOR ALL OTHER USERS

Our privacy practices for data that we collect online from individuals 12 years old and over are generally similar to those for information that we collect from users under 12 years old.

What information do we collect from individuals 12 years old and over?

For all mondokiddo's services (i.e., Exchange, Twinning, Games): We may collect personally identifiable and non-personally identifiable information including, but not limited to: first and last name, date of birth, credit card information, nickname, email address, unique login name and password, home street address and/or telephone number, grade level, school name and address, and school telephone number. Each pseudo created is a unique login ID for use on the mondokiddo site.

Teachers who register on our site may create and post an online profile, with fields for classroom name, school name, grade level taught, language spoken, total number of pupils in the classroom, school street address, and a brief description of their classrooms for twinning purposes. The profile can only be viewed by registered mondokiddo members. It is our policy not to create profiles for any user identified by our system as being under 12 years old or identified as a student.
